I saw a link to a Polish webpage about Jared Padalecki, and instead of just staring at the pretty picture and the funny words, I bugged
sutlers to be my personal translator. The website is
here, and the translation is under the cut.
hansbekhart: WHAT DOES THIS MEEEEEEAN
sutlers: he looks very Blue Steel
sutlers: beloved by thousands of teenager, he knew even as a young boy that he wanted to be an actor
hansbekhart: thousands of teenager, huh?
sutlers: *s
hansbekhart: it just sounded so ESL, i had to laugh
sutlers: stfu you want me to translate this or not
sutlers: i hate you
sutlers: He was born the 19th of... some month, since I never bothered to get my calendar straight, in San Antonio, Texas. His parents are Sherry and Jerry Padelecki. His mom is an English teacher, his father ...some kind of bookkeeper/accountant? He's got an older brother named Jeff and a younger siste, Megan. Jared has Polish roots. His grandfather on his father's side was a Polack, alas, Jared doesn't speak Polish; he only knows a few words. Jared says that he is happiest when he is with his family: "We are very close and we spend a lot of time together. We are not only a family, we're also friends."
hansbekhart: does it really say polack?
sutlers: Pole?
sutlers: i forget which is politically correct, lol
hansbekhart: i just appreciate your use of polack
hansbekhart: pole is, i think. polack is for jokes
sutlers: oops. if you're posting my translation you should change it
sutlers: >_>
sutlers: When he was 12 he started to to take acting lessons. He participated? in many competitions, both school and state. He won all of them, crushing thousands of other contestants like the weak little non-gigantors they were. His first play was in middle school, and it was titles "The Happy Time." Jared underlines that it was from that time that he took theatre seriously.
sutlers: I may have added the gigantor bit, but it really does say the equivalent of crushed
sutlers: In the year 2000 he was chosen as a candidate for the Representative Scholastic Program? wtf? (2 candidates were chosen out of 8 million students that were finishing liceum (secondary school -- I think this is like high school)). He had intended to continue his education at the University of Texas, but he changed his plans, because the doors of opportunity for his acting career opened when he was chosen as one of two American teenagers as a host/presenter for the 1999 Yeen Choice Awards. He also one some Seven Magazine contest and Fox's Claim to Fame thinggummy. Immediately after that he got a proposal to play a part in the TV series "Gilmore Girls." He played Dean Forester, first love of Rory Gilmore. This got him the attention of the WB, who offered him a role in the new series "Supernatural." Padalecki and his co-actor Jensen Ackles were chosen by People Magazine as 2005's "Sexiest Ghostbusters." After that came roles in films on the big screen - "Cheaper by the Dozen," and "New York Minute."
sutlers: Jared Padalecki's artistic career is constantly unfolding/evolving. 2004-2005, he played in some unknown independent crap by Jeff Wadlowa called "Living the Life," next in "Moonlight Drive," directed by Chris Saradona, and most recently in a remake of the 1965 film "Flight of the Phoenix" directed by John Moore. He also had roles in "Cry Wolf" and "House of Wax." It's clear that he's a hardworking young man who lives by his chosen motto: "Be happy with every moment of your life, work hard and be thankful for everything that life gives you, that it brings you."
sutlers: THE END
sutlers: i feel like you should post that, considering all the HARD WORK i put into it
And so I did, minus the changing of Polack, because Polack is a very funny word and when
sutlers came to visit me, I think I called her Polack about as often as I used her actual name.
Anybody else having withdrawl from Big Bang? I still don't feel like I finished it. I keep thinking, okay, enough slacking off, back to ficcing.
Today I am ... not going to have my eyebrows waxed, but I AM going to finish my wedding present, an illustration of the bride done in the croquis/fashion illustration style that is the only thing I can really draw, heh. And I am going to do dishes and clean my rabbit's cage. I'll post the artwork when I'm done, and maybe a picture of the tattoo I'm designing for my coworker.
