Ok, so who totally forgot it was Daylight Savings Time? **puts hand in air** Not that it mattered, actually, because I was woken up at 7am 6am by a million goddamn kitten claws and teeth stabbing into my elbow and then bunny-kicking the shit out of it. Apparently, my boy's kitty really likes elbows. And the Blanket Game - as in, it's under a blanket, I have to kill it! This is, as you might imagine, totally NOT ON at 6am.
I've been buzzing with new ideas, which is AWESOME. After finishing BBP, I was so wrapped up in those specific characterizations that it was almost impossible to see any others, so it's awesome that that's worn off. Although what's really irritating? I keep having the urge to write another goddamn multichaptered fic, even though I have no ideas on plot. I just wanna write some JDM/JA RPS fic, man. Or some Ellen/Dean. Or possibly this Sammy fic that popped up in my head yesterday with the coolest little prompt:
When he was nine years old, Sammy went through a phase where he thought that hiding behind doors and boxes and jumping out and scaring people was the best thing ever. This lasted exactly as long until the first time that John accidentally pulled a gun on him and for years after that, Sam was a little soured on the whole hiding thing.
In other news, I don't know if anybody remembers my
obese circus women that I made for my fashion illustration final last semester. I certainly didn't. My boyfriend's aunt runs a framing shop up in Sacramento, so as soon as I got it back I shipped it up there to have them frame it. And then I forgot about it completely. But! I just got it back and it's framed and it's absolutely fucking amazing. Like, seriously. The frame is this crazy gilt/red wood that looks like ostrich leather and the mat is carpeting and homg it's like, four feet across.
I literally couldn't speak for like, ten minutes. It was a complete surprise; my boyfriend's mom made me shut my eyes and then set it up on the table and I almost CRIED. It's so goddamn cool.
And a closeup of the framing job because DUDE. I am a fucking nerd but also LOOK AT THAT IT'S AWESOME HOMG.
Apparently they've had it hanging up at the studio for a few months and everyone who came in loved it and they had offers on it all the time, for like, up to 1200$ O.O!! Fuck, I should do more of them. I showed it to my dad tonight who was more impressed by the dollar signs than the artwork, and he said I should totally sell it except, except it's mine and it's beautiful and I love it like whoa.
Also, I'm going to BASCON! Probably only for Saturday (and boy, did I get the stinkeye when I said I couldn't work Saturday), but I am way excited. Anybody else planning to attend? (that I haven't actively made plans with, that is, because hey, I know about you :)
