Started Recreational Reading Again

Oct 06, 2008 22:21

On my Alaska trip, I forced myself to relax and read again.  What a wonderful experience.  I think the problem before was that I was reading too much nonfiction, so I switched to fiction.

I'm totally a Twilight fan now. I got the first Stephanie Meyer paperback when i was in Vancouver, finished it, and bought the second in the series, "New Moon" when I was in Seattle.  I hope to finish it tonite.

I also picked up an interesting book I had heard about "The Year of Living Biblically" by A.J. Jacobs.  It's about a Jewish writer in New York who tries to live one year living the commandments and rules of the bible.  It's a great dialog on the hypocrisy and outdatedness of modern Judeo-Christians, and is funny at the same time.

I'm reading a different book on Meditation Techniques and trying to integrate them into my life.

It feels good to be smart again.

reading, happy
