I watched The Holiday, today.
It was really good.
I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Probably, because I kept relating to the characters.
Probably, because I'm a super huge sap and I like cheesy movies.
I definately related most to the Kate Winslet character. And I'm quite positive that's not a good thing.
All the same,
it was a cozy movie.
And I absolutely fell in love with that house. Kate Winslet's that is.
I decided, that I enjoy warm, country style houses more,
as opposed to sleek, modern homes.
Which is strange, because up until just recently, I was the complete opposite.
So, I cried, while watching it.
But in a good way sort of.
(I also cried yesterday, when I watched The Pursuit Of Happiness, again, in that good way. HA!)
It got me in a very, seasonal mood.
I'm pretty excited about the holidays this year.
As of right now, that is.
Ask me in a week, and I might think differently.
I'm hoping not, because I'm hoping that this year is different.
I'm usually bitter, and indifferent to this holiday.
Basically because, since I moved to CA, I feel as though a lot is missing.
Snow? Family? Traditions?
Maybe, but it's time that I start making my own traditions this year.
I want to be cliche.
And I'm going to be.
I'm going to bake cookies.
And drink hot cocoa.
And tomorrow, I'm going to buy a tree and decorate it.
And I'm going to hang stockings, and I'm going to fill them too.
I've already started by doing what every young adult should do during Christmas,
I downloaded Songs For Christmas by Sufjan Stevens!
Also, my mom is working on fixing the sewing machine right now.
Neither of us knew it was broken,
but I hope its up and running soon, so that I can begin whatever small project might pop into my head.
