I know this makes it seem like I'm really down on No Country and Cate Blanchett, and I don't really mean to be. Unlike Crash and Babel in the previous two years, I don't hate No Country with the white-hot passion of a million million suns, I just don't find it to be terribly moving or memorable. Maybe it's because I read the book first, I dunno. And I love Cate, sure and all, as I've expressed plenty of times in the past, I just think there are better options this year. Evil, evil liveblogging at
Defamer, as always.
