30 Days, 30 Pictures - Day 13
I went out of town to Alabama for a week, and I didn't have much internet access there, so I'm behind. But I will catch up! I will! I'm backdating all of these. It's actually the 17th.
Day 13 - A picture of your favorite band or artist
Ben Folds.
If you know me at all, you won't be surprised. I just don't get tired of his music. I think what I love most about his music is that it isn't just songs about going to a club or falling in love or getting drunk. He tells stories. He sings about lives. And as an English major and a wanna-be writer, I can really appreciate that. He's also a genius with music. I don't know enough about music theory to explain anything, but I've watched him judge on The Sing-Off, and he seemed to be the only judge that would give legitimate feedback. Not just "You sounded great! It moved me." He would give reasons using musical terms and explain himself. Also, any pop artist that can also write beautiful classical music is impressive in my book.
