30 Days, 30 Pictures - Day 5
Day 05 - A picture of your favorite memory
Last year I got the opportunity to go on Evan's GT field trip to Corpus Christi. I took Lauren with me. We went to the aquarium and to the battleship USS Lexington. It was fun because it was just a fun day. I didn't have to be the normal "Do this, do that" mom. I could just have fun with my kids and see some fun stuff. We had a good time and learned a lot. I was also so proud of Evan because after I bought him a little toy at the gift shop he told me thank you, and the lady behind the register said, "Wow. That's the first thank you I've heard from a kid all day." I was so happy that he understands gratitude. I also enjoyed seeing Evan with his friends and how silly they are together. On the way there, Lauren and I played the alphabet game (we didn't ride the bus. We drove seperate.), and it was just fun to spend some one one one time with her. Overall, it was a fantastic day with my two oldest children. Since they're both in school now, I don't get to spend a ton of time with them. It was good to be with just them for awhile.
