Potty Training Still Stinks. Literally.

I haven't given an update on Owen's potty training in awhile. He was really doing pretty good before we left for Arkansas to pick up Evan and Lauren. But it's been not so great since we got back. I think he's too busy to realize he has to pee. He can hold it for long periods of time, but he doesn't ever go unless I make him go. And he still hasn't pooped on the potty. Well, I think he did once. And then he pooped the rest in his underwear. It's been frustrating, but there's no going back now. We've saved a lot on diapers even if I am having to wash a gazillion pairs of underwear. I'm hoping that he'll be fully trained before the baby comes. A mom can dream, right? I have until October...

Evan and Lauren start school in 3 weeks. Dang. That's soon. I'm dreading it and excited for it at the same time. They've had a fun summer with trips to see family and then family coming to see us. It's the days when they have nothing to do that they start to drive me crazy. Lauren gets pretty whiny. According to her, Evan gets to do EVERYTHING, and she gets to do NOTHING, and she's always HUNGRY and THIRSTY and has NO ONE to play with. Poor, pitiful Lauren. Evan has been trying to use technology less b/c I've talked to him about his video game addictions (hey, pot. Here's kettle, right?), and also we told him if he'd cut down on how much he plays games, we'd get him some game or something. I don't know. Andrew made the deal. Of course, I'm the one here that has to enforce it, and I'm just too tired most of the time to try to enforce it. I've really just decided that Evan's old enough to realize what he's doing and make a conscious decision without me yelling at him to get off technology. If he does well, then he'll get the game. If he doesn't, then he won't. And he's done pretty good about it. Owen also has a technology problem. haha But today I've told him he can only play on my phone if goes potty. He got to play when he went pee, but then he pooped in his underwear, so he got it taken away. I told him he could play again when he goes in the potty again. He cried for a bit, but he's been happily wandering around the house making messes and singing cute songs ever since. I heard him singing "Super Why," "Twinkle, Twinkle," and "Fireball." It's so stinkin' cute.

We took the kids to see Tomorrowland in the dollar theater the other night, and Owen did fairly well except for when he kept jumping up and down on my lap. I told him to stop, and he told me he wanted to be a Sunbeam! So he kept jumping and yelling "Sunbeam! A Sunbeam!" haha I couldn't help but laugh. But it did hurt and was disruptive, so I had to make him stop. I guess he is learning stuff in Nursery at church. :)

I'm 30 weeks pregnant today. I'm excited to be getting closer to that due date for many reasons. I'm tired of being pregnant and feeling like crap, and I'm also excited to see my beautiful baby girl. I hope she's a pretty as this one.

I'm sure she will be. :)

We've had about 7 women pregnant in my little branch at church (Average attendance is in the 90s, and we have this many women pregnant). I'm the last one due. My sister-in-law, Anna, just had hers. He's adorable. I'm going to be baby crazy by the time my due date gets here. *sigh*

Right, well, I better go and quit boring everyone.
