I Can See Clearly With My Glasses On

Jan 30, 2015 18:34

I got my new glasses in today. I didn't realize how blurry everything was until I put these on. After I picked them up and walked around Wal-mart, I felt like I could see EVERYTHING! Like suddenly I was an Eagle that could zoom in on its prey. Except I don't have any prey. Except for my kids when they're being naughty.

The only downside here is that since I have astigmatism, everything looks slanted. The computer screen that I'm staring at no longer looks rectangular but quadrilatular. Is that a word? 10 points for creativity.

I had no idea that things were so dark b/c before everything was so blurry. But I didn't know it was blurry. This font looks so dark. It's blowing my mind.

Have you ever watched someone's TV that has the resolution set to where everything looks like a soap opera? It looks so real that it looks fake? That is my life right now. Everything looks so clear that I feel like it's fake.

I've been feeling a little sick and dizzy. I've been told it will pass.

One of the biggest issues I'm having with my glasses is figuring out how to take selfies without my phone showing in my glasses.

It definitely tops the feeling sick and everything looking slanted thing.

I hope everyone knows I'm joking.

But seriously, tips on selfies, people. :)

Here's me and O, who's done surprisingly well with my transition to glasses. He's only tried to grab them once. What a good boy.

I'll try to post a more flattering picture later when I've put on makeup and fixed my hair. Or not. I'll probably forget.

So, yeah, GLASSES!
