Random Embarrassing Memory

I don't know how many of you know this about me, but I love to dance. It's not that I'm great at it or anything. I just enjoy it. If there's a song on, I'm probably moving some part of my body whether anyone notices or not. It's impossible for me to sit still. I'm probably humming or mouthing the words, too. I'm going to be one of those weird people that makes you uncomfortable when I'm old b/c I'm singing aloud to myself.

Wait, too late. I'm already one of those people.

Here's an embarrassing fact about me: Sometimes when I'm bored, I'll video myself dancing, so I can see how goofy I look dancing. This all started in high school when I would go to dances, and I would video myself with our crappy little webcam to work on moves. "Oh, that one looks good. Do that one at the next dance. Holy crap, that one was too white. Don't do that one." It moved onto me videoing myself b/c it makes me laugh. I even have some pregnant dancing videos, none of which the public is going to view. Sorry. I also have some videos of me singing and acting out a few songs. Y'all, I'm really dorky.

Probably one of the most embarrassing things that happened to me was not long after we were married. We were living in Alabama at the time with only Evan, and Andrew was in school. I was bored at home alone, so what did I do? You already know. Anyway, later that year, we invited a couple of his nephews over to spend the week with us. One of them loved to make video slideshows on Windows Movie Maker, so I let him. He worked on it all week, and he was pretty proud. When Andrew's parents came to pick them up that weekend, he wanted to show everyone the movie he made. We all gathered around the computer to watch and saw lots of cute pictures of our nieces and nephews all set to a sweet little Disney song. Then, at the end of the video... was my "I'm all alone and bored, so I'm going to dance" video. I died. I think my eyes almost popped out of my head when I saw it. My in-laws were all watching my dance video.

I think what made it worse, though, was when my father-in-law said, "That's a really good dance, Johanna."

Oh, and the song was "Rock Your Body" by Justin Timberlake. There was shimmying and butt slapping. It was the worst.

But, hey, my father-in-law thought my dance looked good.

*face palm*

I don't know why I thought I should share this other than it makes me laugh to think about it. Now everyone knows I make dance videos when I'm alone.

I mean, no, not anymore... *shifty eyes*
