Foozball is of the Devil

My last trip to Alabama I had a conversation with Andrew about how I've never really felt like I fit in with the other people in my town. I've always felt different. One of the main reasons, I think, is b/c I don't give a crap about football.

Tonight my facebook home page is flooded with "Roll Tide," and everybody's excited about the "big game." I. Don't. Care. Nor have I ever cared, and I didn't realize so many people did care until Facebook came along.

And when people hear that I'm from Alabama, they expect me to care. Like being born and raised there, I just have football in my veins. I don't. I have nerdiness in my veins. My Dad never really watched football growing up. It wasn't a big deal in our family. We'd watch things like Nature on PBS.

Thankfully, my husband isn't a fanatic. He likes football, and he'll watch it, but he doesn't yell at the screen.

Tonight we watched How I Met Your Mother together, instead. He's the coolest.

So, please, no Roll Tides or RTR's for me. It just makes me want to kick you in the face. Not that I actually would. But do you really want to take that chance? :)

football is dumb, andrew, alabama
