The PeePee Dance
Being the mother of small children, I've become an expert on noticing the peepee dance. My kids will be busy playing, and I'll see them wiggling around, so I tell them to go to the bathroom. They argue with me every time, but I'm always right. Mommy knows.
So Lauren is the worst about holding it until she can't anymore. She'll wiggle and dance, and I'll ask, "Lauren, do you need to go potty?" And she always says, "No." I tell her to go anyway. And she'll tell me she doesn't have to over and over again until I threaten to take away something or send her to her room. I get it... I hate taking time to go potty, too. It's annoying.
A few days ago I noticed her wiggling around while she was playing, and I told her to go. She, of course, told me she didn't need to. And I said, "Yes, you do. I can tell b/c of your wiggle." And she said, "But the wiggle keeps the peepee in." She's right. It does. haha
I love that kid.
