The Embarrassing Mom

Mar 23, 2012 00:18

I've always wanted to be that mom that embarrasses her kids by doing stupid, random stuff. Always. I don't know why. I just didn't realize I would be getting to that point so soon.

We watched The Muppets on Tuesday. If you haven't seen it, watch it for the music. Please. I love the music so much. After we watched it, I had those familiar feelings of wanting to be in a musical. I get those a lot. So I was dancing around and singing, and then I started singing everything that I said to the kids.

"What do you want to eaaaaat? Do you want a saaaandwiiiich?"

I swear I was doing this long before Jess came along... Andrew calls me Jess pretty often.

So, yeah, I was singing EVERYTHING. And finally, Evan says, "Mom, stop singing everything!"

"I don't knoooow what you're talking abouuuuut!"

"Mom, stop talking weird."

"IIiii'm not taaalking weeeird."

"Mom, you sound like a goober. Stop it!"

hahaha So, of course, then I had to KEEP doing it b/c it bothered him. It was the only logical option. I mean, really, he thought it was funny, but he's been playing the cool kid card lately... like refusing to sing the bumblebee song or the alligator song at the library. He's just too cool for that baby stuff now. :)

I'm excited about this. I'm on my way to be the embarrassing mom! Yessss....
