Be My Escape
I was looking through some e-mails I had starred trying to figure out why I starred them. I found an e-mail that my buddy A.C. had written me, and I really liked this quote he had about writing.
It's very magical, in a way, and something that has the power to change lives. Even if it's just for ten minutes while they're reading your story, you can make people forget about their troubles and just enjoy something else for a while. I really believe in that, I see it as a responsibility and something that means a lot to me.
I liked it a lot and thought it pretty much summed up how I feel when I read books. I get so caught up in the stories. I've used books as an escape from problems many times. I hope one day when I get up enough courage, I can be an escape for someone through my writing.
Anyway, I just thought it was worth sharing. Good job, A.C. :)
