Sad, and then EXCITED!
This morning I was thinking about how one day my kids won't want me to hug and kiss them like I do now, and it made me really sad. I expect them to be slightly embarrassed of me when they're teenagers, but I sure hope they don't hate me. That seems to be the trend with teens. Why is that? I didn't hate my parents. In fact, I remember thinking my Dad was AWESOME! Maybe it's different for me b/c he was all I had left, so I didn't take him for granted.
Anywayzzz... yeah, I'm being cool by using z's instead of s's. word.
Here's some exciting news: I'm starting another blog. Okay, I know that doesn't sound all that exciting at first, but here's the exciting part--it's going to be on the Laredo Morning Times' website! Heck yeah! So here's what happened... shortly after we moved here, I wrote in my ole lj about our move to Laredo. A few days later I got a message on facebook from the online editor of their site saying she found my blog and would love for me to keep a blog on their site about our life in Laredo. Sweet, eh? It's a non-paying gig, but I'm hoping that it may lead to a paying job later.
It hasn't gone live yet, but I've already written one entry. When it does go live, I'll be sure to let you know.
