Day Four and part of Five in Arizona
I'm soooo ready to be home in my own bed again. Not that I'm not having a good time on this trip, but I am so behind on sleep... the snoring is terrible. and for some reason, both Evan and Lauren woke up multiple times crying last night. Oh, but funny thing, Andrew's dad was talking in his sleep last night. The only thing I understood was after he would snore, he'd say, "Nuh uh! Nuh uh!" and then he would mumble something. It would've been funnier if I wasn't tired out of my mind. Anyway, I've told Andrew that when we get to the reunion, I don't care where we sleep, as long as it's not with his parents. aaaack, the snoring....
I forgot to mention something that happened the other day that was weird. Andrew's mom was holding Lauren in the elevator, and Lauren dropped her pacifier right when the door opened, and it fell down the elevator shaft! What a freak thing to happen, eh? We had to go buy her one on our way to dinner b/c of the screaming...
We went to the grand canyon yesterday. It was AWESOME! I wish we could've seen more of it, but we had a bunch of kids, and that wasn't happening. Actually, I felt like a terrible mother b/c Evan got lost, and I didn't even notice! In my defense, I thought he had went with Andrew and Josh to the car... but then a little later, Andrew's mom says, "Where's Evan?" Oh, crap... luckily, this couple was holding his hand and bringing him our way. He wasn't scared at all. I felt awful. Amberly told me it happens to everybody, but I still felt like a loser mom. I didn't even realize he was gone. *sigh*
My camera batteries died while I was at the grand canyon. Poooo! Amberly took some for us, which was nice of her. But it gave me a chance to video with my video camera I brought. that was fun. I got Evan on camera saying "Papa's clear." except that when evan says clear, his "cl" sounds like "qu." haha Fun times.
Today, we're on our way to the reunion. Londyn is screaming her head off behind me, so it's kinda hard to think.
Well, nothing extremely exciting has happened so far today. We wanted to stop by this meteor crater, but it was like $15 just to see it. we got on route 66 for a little bit. exciting! I've been thinking about the movie Cars alot since we've been on this trip. had the song "route 66" in my head.
Well, we're about to go eat lunch. Later, dudes.
