Young Kids and Movies Don't Mix...

Whew... i'm exhausted. Lauren had a doctor's appointment at 8:30 this morning, so that was fun getting all of us out the door. My nephews were great. They did everything I told them to, and it made me hope that one day, Evan will do the same when he's that age... though I doubt it b/c he's my kid, and kids seem to listen to other adults better than their own parents. Why is that?

Anyway, her appointment went well. She weighs 15 lbs, 12 oz! And she's 24 in long! They told me she's in the 90th percentile for weight and 50th for height. haha I thought it was pretty darn amazing considering she didn't get to eat the first half of her life. She is now officially 4 months old! man, times flies... They gave her three shots today... poor baby. I hate the look in their eyes when the needle goes in. It kills me. Lots of crying at the doctor's office... brought back not so good memories. *shudder*

SO we left there, and I got gas (the kind that goes in a car, sicko) and stopped by the bank (cha-ching!), and David said he'd like to go to books-a-million to kill time. We stayed there about an hour, and then went to the park to meet my step-mom Cheryl and David's siblings to play and eat lunch. They played there for awhile, and I found out that apparently Cameron doesn't like to eat anything that Cheryl fixed, so I had to go get him some chicken nuggets. I told him that he was pickier than Andrew, and he thought that was funny. After the park, Cheryl took us all to see Up! It was a pretty cute movie. Evan has the attention span of a two year old (for obvious reasons), so he was... fun. And then Lauren wanted me to stand up most of the time. Oh, and I was standing in the aisle on the side with Lauren, and Evan was running around beside me. He goes to the door and tells me he has to potty. I go with him outside, and he bolts to the arcade games, BUT (emphasis on the word "but"... you'll see why) his shorts are way too big (all his other ones were dirty), and they fell down around his ankles. So Evan is running through the lobby with his pants around his ankles at the movie theater. These people start laughing, and this one lady tried to help me pull his pants up (b/c i'm holding lauren in one arm), but he started screaming b/c he didn't want her to touch him. Fun times. It was funny, but I still had to fuss at him for running off. Crazy kid...

So we survived that. Then Cheryl took us all to Sonic for a treat. It took me awhile to make David and Cameron understand the difference between a slush and a candy sundae, but they finally understood and told me what they wanted.

Evan is screaming in his bedroom b/c he fell off the bed... He's not hurt. He's just a butt when he wakes up. *sigh* It makes me want to pull my hair out.

I stopped by the pharmacy on the way home to pick up something for Lauren, and Cameron's like, "When are we going back to your house?" haha Poor kid, he's as tired as I am. Probably b/c I heard him up at 4am in our bathroom, and he was still in there until after 5am. I have no idea what he was doing. I asked him, but he just kinda mumbled and never said. haha Oh, well. He's happily playing spiderman now. I wish I could say the same for Evan. JUST GO BACK TO SLEEEEEEEEEP!

Well, I guess I'll go see what Evan needs. Probably a good beatin'... just kidding. Please don't turn me into DHR or send me messages about how I'm going to give my kid bathroom issues for life...
