The Perfect Weather Day
I had another doctor's appointment today. He told me that I'm pretty much the same as I was last week. Maybe dilated a tiny bit more. He said I've lost a pound which is an indicator that I'm about to go into labor... but honestly, that could be b/c I didn't eat a huge breakfast or b/c I walked so freakin' much to get the baby out, right? He asked if I wanted to come in Saturday to be induced, and I told him no. I'll just wait. And he was okay with that! He also told me that he'd be out of town Thursday evening, so try not to have the baby then. haha Uh, okay. I'll do my best.
So, that's that. I'm still pregnant.
Evan and I played outside today b/c the weather was PERFECT!! We didn't have to wear jackets at all. It was so great. We were outside for hours. We walked over to the creek and threw rocks in. He thinks that's super fun. He also picked up a bigger rock, stuck it to his ear, and was like, "Hello?" haha And then he handed me one, and we talked on the "phone" for awhile. He's so stinkin' smart and creative. I love that kid. Then we came inside and he played with his mega blocks making towers. When he'd finish one, he'd show me and go "a ga!" (ie: tada!) but then he'd try to pick it up to show me and the blocks would fall off, and he'd get mad. So then it turned into nap time...
I've been SO amazed lately b/c I've just been able to lay him down in his bed and he takes a nap! without complaint! I don't know how or when this started, but I LIKE IT! He still wakes up cranky, but I can deal with it b/c he's so good when he goes to sleep.
Last night, Andrew saw on my facebook status that I wanted doughnuts, so on his way home from class, he bought me some. :) I had fallen asleep watching TV, and when he woke me up, I saw two doughnuts sitting beside my head. I love my husband.
oh, crap, I just realized it's past evan's bedtime. He's going to cry when I turn off "papa moomoo" (ie: mario kart). I've never seen a 2 year old love video games as much as this one does. It's insane. And we really don't play them THAT much... but as soon as he hears nintendo music, he comes running. I think i'll play a round with him before bed. He'll like that. Good night!
