stress is the best

Boy, last night was kinda stressful. As you all know by now, I'm in charge of the cookin' around here. So I started cookin' dinner. Well, Andrew came home, and he's still sick. Add on to that the fact that Evan's teething and screaming his head off... and has a fever... and all that jazz. And since Andrew's sick, he can't do anything, so I have to do everything for him. (Never mind the fact that if I was the one sick, I would still have to everything... but I guess that's just the perks of being the mom in the family.) And Evan's still screaming. So finally I decide to drive to the store and get Evan some orajel to soothe his aching gums. I take him with me b/c car rides generally calm him down. I get to the store and realize I forgot my wallet. And since we live out in the boonies, it's not like it's easy to just turn around and go back to get it... so I searched around in the car and found our Paypal card. So I rush inside, search around for awhile, can't find any, ask an associate, she finds it. I go to the counter, she rings it up, and says that her card reader isn't working so a manager will have to call it in. Okay, whatever. So I follow the manager, and she calls it in, and she comes back out. "Do you have a different card? This one expired in March." GREAT! So I go out to the car and find an american express card that is also expired... so I go back inside... ashamed... "can I use your phone to call my husband?" I call home, and my dad answers. He tells me he'll give me his card number over the phone. I write it down and it give it to the girl. Hang up. She calls it in. Comes back out. "Are you sure this is the right number? It didn't work." ARGH!! So I called my dad back yet again, and one number was wrong. FINALLY, she calls and the card goes through. Oh, and while all this is going on, evan starts to get fussy. I open up the orajel to put some on his gums, but you have to cut the tube open with scissors... what the heck? And he also wiped snot and slobber all over my shirt. As if I didn't look white trashy enough with my gym shorts, old shirt, nappy pony tail, and bad credit cards. haha so i finally get to leave (but not before i go back in again to get dad's credit card number back.) and leave. the orajel didn't really work that great and evan continued his screaming as soon as we got home. and he wouldn't eat his sweet potatoes... so he didn't get full... so he woke up at 3:00am hungry.

needless to say, yesterday was FUN!! *note sarcasm* luckily, that's over with.

well, i gotta go feed this kid and myself. we're going to take the papers for medicaid today. woot!
