Okay, I'm calm and happy now b/c Paco is being a good dog and staying in the back yard. I just went outside and loved on him to show how appreciative I am. Hopefully, he'll stay there.
Anyway, on to what happened yesterday. So I'm sitting at the computer wasting time (I cleaned all day yesterday, so I was taking a break...)when I get a call from the relief society president at church. (Relief Society is the women's organization at church for those who don't know.) She asks if I'm going to be around for a little while, and I say yes. She says her husband is going to bring something by for me, and they'll be there in a little bit. I'm like, uh, okay. So a little bit later I hear the door bell ring. I go to the door, and it's her husband. He asks if Andrew's home, and I say no, he's still at work. He's like, "well, okay, I'll just bring this inside." He opens the tail gate of his truck, and I see a brand new crib still in the box! I'm like, "OH MY GOSH!" After that, I didn't get much out. Just some "What? Who? Huh? I mean.. What?" And he's like, "Someone who wanted to remain anonymous wanted me to bring this by here for you." Again, I'm like, "What? Who? Huh?" So he brings in the crib, and then he's like, "Wait, there's some more." And he goes to the front of his truck and pulls out a crib mattress and crib bedding and sheets! I don't think I need to repeat what I kept saying b/c it was really jibberish at this point except for a couple of Holy Cows and Oh my goodnesses. He brings it all in the house, and finally I'm able to stammer out, "So you can't tell me who it was?" And he's like, "No, they wanted to remain anonymous." At this point, I wanted to give HIM a hug b/c I just wanted to give SOMEONE a hug, but I thought that might be kinda awkward. He walks out the door, and I'm like, "well, tell whoever it was that we say Thank you so much!" And he's like, "I'll tell them that it left you speechless for awhile." And then my eyes start to well up. He gets in his truck, says bye, and drives off. I go inside and completely lose it. Yup, I cried. I run into the living room, drop down on my knees and thank Heavenly Father for whoever it was that was so kind.
I then called Andrew to tell him. Then Lacey b/c she was going to let us use their crib, so I had to let her know that we didn't need it anymore. Then I called my Dad to tell him. He's like, "That's what happens when you're living the gospel." I have no idea why we were so blessed, but I'm really grateful for it. And it's not like we broadcasted to anyone that we needed those things... whenever anyone asked if we needed stuff, I would tell them we were okay. I just couldn't believe that someone spent that much money for us. It amazed me. People amaze me sometimes.
So, anyway,
here's the crib they got for us. It's so nice! It converts into a bed!! And
here's the crib bedding set they got for us. They also got us some sheets and some mattress covers. And as you can see, this stuff isn't cheap... we were trying to figure out who it could be, but I guess it doesn't really matter. God knows... and I'm sure they'll be blessed for it.
It's sitting in our kitchen waiting for the baby's room to be painted. The room is going to be painted this weekend, so as soon as it is... we can put everything in! And it will actually look like a baby's room! I can't wait to see it! Now all I need is the baby... :D
