(no subject)
I love the 'Trunk or Treat' thing that my youth group (LP) did last night! Why haven't I done this before you may ask? Because I'm obviously dumb...and I guess a hethen as Evan would call me.
Every club needs to have a theme and decorate their car according to the theme..Well of course Rosanna picked The Wizard of Oz since she's so obsessed! But you put candy in your trunk and all these little kiddies come around and get candy! It was so much fun..and our car was definately the best! and also last min..
Rosanna's car was supposed to be the 'ruby slippers' so on the trunk we tied a red bow to look like the bows on her shoes. Rosanna was of course Dorothy! She had ordered this Dorothy outfit offline for some thing she had to do so she wore that w/ her hair twisted and in pigtails w/ socks and red slippers...complete w/ a basket! Oh but you can't forget Toto! Brooke's little dog Noel was the stand-in. Even though she's white and a Maltese, she still did an awesome job! If they gave Emmys to dogs, I would definately nominate her :) Lizzy was the Wicked Witch of the West...we went to Goodwill and bought some hideous, supposed to be Express, black dress thing for like $1, got her a witch hat at Wal*Mart, she wore Rosanna's black hooker boots, made her eye make-up dark and bright red lipstick complete w/ a broom!! It was awesome she looked so cool...she even had the "I'll get you my pretty...and your little dog too!" cackle down to a T...which she later screamed as she was chasing Rosanna in the Sheetz parking lot. Followed by me sayin "Dorothy just click your heels three times!" Which brings me to my next description...ME! I was..as you can guess..Glenda the good witch! I wore my purple prom dress from this past May, clear heels, went to the Dollar Store and got a purple sceptor (great find Lizzy!), and wore Lizzy's homecoming queen crown...I felt honored! Even though Glenda had wings..which I said and no one believed me!...I still felt the part. Rosanna's car was awesome! She had all her Wizard of Oz memorabilia out on display which included a lunchbox, purse, some metal sign thing w/ Dorothy's pic on it, and even...Wizard of Oz Christmas lights!! Can we say...obsess much? :) I think the best part was we had a TV set up on a chair that played the movie! It was so cute...we had people gathered around just watching the movie...we could've charged for entry! But most people only came around to see the midget hang himself in the background and after seeing the tragic suicide they left...but no before rewinding a few times...
Onto what we did afterwards...muaahahah!!! (<---that was supposed to be an evil laugh) On the way to the church we had seen two HUGE Kerry/Edwards signs on the side of the road...just in the middle of a field! hehehe what a good idea.so on the way home we planned on going over to one of them and steal it but it didn't work out that way. The first one we went to we got out, sat for a few minutes waiting for the coast to be clear, then ran over and starting pushing it and kicking and beating it!!! Man it was really down in there! It was strongly twist tied to three metal rods...what the heck?! Did they know we were coming? Even after continuously beating it w/ Lizzy's broom, to our dismay it just wouldn't come out so we left and went to the other one in hopes of a successful mission :) Well when we got to the other sign, we just beat and kicked it as we had done before...but this time it was different! Lizzy says "Hey this one's only taped!!" EUREKA! Thank you Lizzy for your observation! So we ripped it off, slid down the hill w/ it, then ran to Rosanna's car. We thought it would just fit in her trunk but man were we wrong! This thing was HUGE!! It was the size of her car haha so we had to fold it a few times...but in the end we felt joyful and victorious...and some of (ahem Rosanna) felt a little wetness in our pants!
Our justification for stealing the sign? Someone stole our BUSH/CHENEY sign first !! :-\

I'm glad I took the time to share our escapade w/ you! I wish everyone could've been there to experience it w/ us...well not everyone but at least a handful of you..
