helloo cyber friends!! i am only updating this journal ting so you all know im alive and well after my ecuadorian two week fiesta. alive and well indeed!! there i was.. in the jungle.. with one(1) knapsack for two weeks and a million (1000000) bug bites. i was expecting to seee the jungle teeming with mammalian life but unfortunately all the animals were poached by the spaniards way back when. there were a couple monkeys though. vicious little buggers. we also went on rather quaint canoe rides down the amazon river and stopped by indigenous communities. the kids all came up to us and shook our hands because thats what they are told what happens in the 'outside' world. the one you and i live in. they also said 'good morning' over and over again cause thats all the english they know. completely my sister's fault as she is the english teacher in the community. but we werent in the jungle very long because we were stuck in a remote mountain village and couldnt get out because the streets were blocked off due to a country wide strike. ho hum cats bum. mounains were spectacular though. so thats the update. im alive and well and planning on running away before tomarrow creeps up on me.....any joiners? we can live in a hut made entirely out of bamboo in morocco. just a thought
