(no subject)
OK, well I guess a lot has been happening in my life lately. I'm so excited that it finally is beginning to feel like FALL outside! I love the fall...definitely my favorite time of year.
I went up to KY over fall break to visit Asbury Theological Seminary. It was a good visit...I really like the school, but I don't see myself there next year. Don't you ever just get a feeling that you're not supposed to be someplace? It may not make much sense, but I just didn't feel like I would belong there. Although I like the school a lot, I just wasn't so excited about the small-town atmosphere and the lack of cultural events in the area. I mean, I take for granted all of the musical opportunities that I have here. I don't know if I'm willing to give that up so soon!
So it's back to the drawing board. I'm visiting Southern Methodist University (in Dallas) in February. I think that I might audition for their music program in addition to applying to the seminary. Not sure yet...I also might apply to an opera program at another school. I just can't decide what I want to do with my life. Can you tell???
So if I can't figure any of this out soon, it looks like I might be working in Columbus for a year to take some time off. I'm so unsure about things right now that it might be a bad idea for me to jump into a graduate program. I'm optimistic about it, though...I'm not in a huge hurry to go to grad school...I'm just going to take things as they come.
Other than that....school is lots of work....too much HW....blah blah blah. LOTS of voice music to learn, it seems. MTNA in two weeks!
