I'm too tired to think up a clever title for this entry, regarding the insanity that has been the past 72 hours of my life. I'm sure there are a ton of deep, wistful song lyrics I could rehash but I'm honestly just too tired to even put in the effort to think that hard. So fuck it, here's what happened:
Friday
11:00am - Ran around shopping at Burlington Coat Factory in Tampa Bay, FL.
12:00pm - Sat down at a Chick-Fil-A to have the best fucking chicken sandwich in the world.
1:00pm - arrive at Tampa airport, far too early for my flight
3:30pm - depart Tampa intl
5:00pm - arrive at Chicago Midway airport and wait around for fucking forever until my plane actually shows up, an hour and a half late. At least I got to watch some more of Six Feet Under
10:00pm - depart MDI
11:30pm - arrive Detroit, run around frantically trying to find the airbus pickup spot so I don't miss my ride back to London (no thanks to super non-helpful employees that ignored me until I practically screamed at them... fuckers.)
11:45pm depart from Detroit.
Saturday
3:00am - arrive in London at Robert Q headquarters and take a cab home. The driver was really nice and plus I found a brand new lipgloss that somebody had dropped in the back seat. Bonus!
3:10am - sleep.
10:25am - awake, run out of the house so I can catch McD's breakfast
11:00am - while heading up the on-ramp to the 401 I saw a hitch-hiker who looked reasonable and who was on her way to Toronto. I stopped, reversed, and picked her up. We chatted so much that I missed the 403 cutoff and drove to Mississauga by accident.
1:00pm - She got out on the Erin Mills Parkway, I found the 403, and I was on my way... into gridlocked traffic.
1:30pm - got off in Oakville to take the Lakeshore (it wasn't much better)
2:00pm - arrived in Burlington, showered
4:50pm - left the house, drove to the Burlington Go station. There was absolutely no parking. The train to Toronto was coming at 5:10pm. I parked illegally and ran inside anyway; but alas there was a lineup out the door. Silly me, trying to get to Toronto with the CNE and a Toronto FC game going on as well.
5:00pm - booked it to the Appleby Go station, parked, ran inside, paid, and had to run to catch the train... but I made it! No lie. One of the proudest moments of my life.
6:00pm - arrived in Toronto and eventually found my way to the Molson Ampitheatre
6:30pm - watched a fucking awesome concert!
12:00am - caught a cab downtown with my friend, subway'd the rest of the way to
stigmatography 's place
Sunday
12:30am - arrived and caught up with everyone, it was so great!
3:00am - sleep.
10:55 - awake, and realize that if I don't leave rightnow there is absolutely no way I can make it to Kitchener for 1:30pm
11:15am - run to the subway station, make it to Union with minutes to spare until the Go train comes
11:47am - get on the train and chill the fuck out for an hour or so
12:55pm - find my car, drive home to get nice clothes to change into, and go pick up my dad who got a bus into town to meet me so we could save time
1:15pm - leave for Kitchener... we are so fucked for time but at this point we don't really care
3:30pm - arrive in Kitchener, but first we go to the mall and change into our nice clothes in their big fancy bathrooms... yep.
3:45pm - make it to the party and have a pretty decent time
6:30pm - try to leave but get thwarted by drunk people (who are really sweet also, but just happen to be loud and repetitive and at this point I have had just about enough)
6:59pm - practically drag my dad into the car because everyone just wants to keep talking to him, and I try to subtly remind everyone that I am so fucking tired I'm about to keel over at any second
7:24pm - we're finally on the way home.
8:25pm - we are finally home. Fuck yes.
And now I get to go watch True Blood. Yuusss!
