To all the Rush loving conservatives, here is my Rant!
1. Calm down. Rush isn't going to be censored, your freedom of speech is not at risk. But ask yourself this question: Would your panties be in this big of a knot if there were RUMORS that our government was going to censor Michael Moore? Ask yourself if you are really arguing for freedom of speech or just freedom of speech if it is your opinion.
2. Calm down. Stop saying that "WE" are giving out the Nobel prize for nothing. "WE" are not giving anything out. Sweden is. If they want to give it to an American (who is our president), awesome, show some patriotic pride.
3. Calm down. Try reading the Healthcare Reform. It is over 1000 pages. Do you really think Rush has read it? Read it yourself before blaming all our problems on it. Besides, the bill hasn't even passed yet.
4. Calm down. We had a Republican in office for 8 years. Did he ban abortion and same sex marriages? NO. So why is it suddenly our President's fault that they still exist when they were never gone? Understand that some things do NOT lie in the hands of the government.
5. Calm Down. I hope all of you who have been spouting hatred and anger towards our administration are voting this year. I don't care whether you vote "yes" or "no" on the initiatives, just be an active and patriotic American and vote. Stop blaming the administration and start blaming yourselves. We are a democracy, we work together.
6. Calm Down. Remember that even the most extreme Dems and the most extreme Reps usually have very similar core values. Most of us love our families with all our hearts, want what is best for our children, want to see people of all backgrounds succeed and be active members of our society, and want to live long, happy, healthy lives surrounded by loved ones. Bad people come in all political parties, but so do good. Let's set positive examples of love and tolerance and avoid hate at all costs.
