Been quite a while since I did a proper update.

Um, I went to Florida about a month ago for my cousin Paul's wedding with Mom, Dad, Adam and Jessica. It was at St. Pete Beach and we were there for three nights. Totally great. We all got along well and it was so so fun to see/meet Paul and his friends and Ron and Mary. A little trip down memory lane on my mom's side of the family. We ate tons of delicious food while we were down there and stayed at the greatest hotel ever. The Postcard Inn. I hope to stay there again someday. I would like to decorate my house to look like that hotel, it was awesome. That was our first family vacation to somewhere other than Wisconsin to visit family in a very very long time and I'm honestly surprised by how great it went. Dad even made some comment that we should make that a yearly trip. It was fun to be at the beach with my parents. They used to be beach bums in Hawaii so they had a lot of fun looking for shells and screwing around with us. Jessica opened up and got chatty with me and Paul's new wife, Stacy, one day so it was cool getting to talk to her a little bit more too.

I went up to Boone last weekend to visit Kaydee and Kale since Kaydee was getting ready to move home to Florida to start her ballin grown up job. We had a great time playing around in the river by the damn with Fiorgione and Nick and Jonathan and his gf. Casey came up one night and she and Amanda hung out with us too. It was a really fun Boone weekend. I hope to go back in a couple weeks, maybe with Josh D in tow, to visit Kale and play around some more.

I hung out with Casey one weekend a while back and we had dinner at Cabo Fish Taco in NoDa which I thought was really cute. We did some other stuff that I can't remember but I do remember having a lot of fun that day.

Amanda has been home for about a month or so now so I've had a pal to hang with all the time. She had half her nose knocked off a few weeks back so I spent some time visiting with her and giggling at her mustache bandage. We've been hanging out and Josh's a lot with him and Boggs and Lloyd and Mary and occasionally Hunter which is always fun.

I've done some swimming and attempting to lay out but he had a major heat wave for like, two weeks of 90+ days, it was miserable. I've been working my butt off at Belk lately. I don't mind the stuff I'm doing these days in the office, I just wish I was getting paid more. I've been crazy busy lately with the other gals being on vacation consecutively over the last 3 weeks. Not fun. I may start learning payroll which could be ok. I'm ready to be done there. Have I said that enough times?

This past Friday I went to Charleston with Amanda for her birthday weekend! We were accompanied by Josh and Tyler. Shit it was a lot of fun. We mostly chilled Friday night with some beers in our great hotel room downtown, The Mills House, on Meeting Street. Woke up insanely early the next morning and got breakfast. Came back, had some beers at the pool at 10am. Laid out for a while, showered, went to lunch at some teeny, yummy French place around the corner. Tasty salmon/goat cheese sandwich with Thai veggie soup and a glass of chardonnay. Then we shopped around on King Street for a while in various little shops. We had a successful day of that and got some very tasty ice cream (southern blackberry cobbler). Headed back to the hotel where we all surprisingly passed out watching tennis until about 6:30 then we got up, dicked around for a while, had a few drinks then went down to Bay Street to have dinner at SNOB. They had a crazy long wait so we ended up across the street waiting a bit at Magnolia. Tyler and I attempted to do some boy scouting while sitting on the steps out front. We had an outstanding meal that night with the greatest waiter, Billy. It was quite the proper establishment and he was a big anal about our silverware being straight, napkins being folded and crumbs being wiped from the table. He was actually really funny though and helpful with words we didn't understand and wine suggestions. I had blackened catfish over fried green tomatoes with caramelized onions over some rice with this delicious sauce. I did a taste test of the other entrees ordered and they were all awesome. Worth every penny, delicious meal, great atmosphere. A perfect dinner for Amanda's birthday, if I do say so myself. After that we headed around to Tommy Condon's Irish Pub. There was a great Irish band playing so we drank beer (Josh and I slammed a carbomb on the way out) and walked back to the hotel. The next day we got up thinking we'd be checking out then changing hotels since we realized none of us had to work on Monday. Well, we chatted with the guy at the front desk for a bit and he hooked us up with the last room the had available, a suite, for a great rate so we scooped that baby up and had our shit moved while we went to lunch on Sullivan's Island at Poe's for burgers. We had to sit outside in the sun but it was worth it. I had the biggest messiest burger but YUM. We headed back into town to King St. again for a bit. I coordinated with Kaydee who was moving home that day and she ended up coming to meet us at the hotel once we got back. We relaxed and joked around while drinking a bit in the hotel room (some more then others...) before we finally decided on a place for dinner. We walked down to Pearlz on E. Bay and waited longer than expected but not too long and we sipped on Margaritas and Mimosas while we waited. Josh and Kaydee got oysters that they said sucked but the rest of our meal was pretty decent. We bolted out of there once we finished eating to catch the end of the fireworks show coming from the USS Yorkshire, I think. We set up shop on a blanky in the park and sang Lee Greenwood during the finale. Kaydee and I both got some sort of terrible debris blown into our eyes which, personally, put a damper on my evening. I would have rather been blind that felt that pain. So we walked back to the room, ordered a roll away bed and a billion neck pillows and stayed up late talking, playing Catchphrase and singing the Star Spangled Banner. Kaydee got up early this morning to drive the rest of the way home, I woke up and gave her a hug goodbye and headed to the bathroom to remove the gunk from my eyeball which had swollen and crusted itself shut over night. We all slept a bit longer then gradually started waking up. Someone clogged the toilet so we had to call down and some man came, not with a plunger, but with a snake to fix the problem. We called guest serviced about a billion times over the three days we were down there, I'm sure they were sick of us by the time we left. But it was a great hotel. We went out for breakfast to Toast again this morning and it was very good again. Got ready back at the room and headed back home. SUCH A GREAT TRIP.

I mostly plan on working this weekend. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be seeing the newest Twilight movie with Amanda when I get off work. I think she's going back to Chapel Hill sometime this week so there goes my hang out budro. It may be for the best so I can get focused on trying to find more jobs and studying for the GRE and stuff. I think I'll finally be ready to move once August rolls around. I'm going to try and talk to a few temp agencies around Milwaukee soon to see what they're all about and to see if there's anything they can place me in or set me up with when I get up there so I won't be searching hardcore for any sort of job right off the bat. I'd probably just live with Uncle Bill for a while until I can get the rest of my shit up there and feel stable enough to get into a place in the city with someone I know or even don't know. Or if I land a real job save some money up. Now is as good a time as any right? I'll have a few months after that until I'd have to start paying back my loans to get things sorted out and stuff. I don't know man. August will have been a year since I moved home and I really did not anticipate being here this long. I'm regressing a bit and I don't like it. I'm ready to be on my own again and push myself a little bit. I messaged Lauren Hall the other day and she gave me some great advice that was pretty encouraging. Stop talking start doing? Fuck man, I don't know what I want.

But right now I want to go to go bed.
