Derby peeps, represent.
Are most skates sized the same? Because in the ones I've tried, I've generally been a size 5 ladies or a size 3 in boys' skates, which is a full size lower than what I normally get in regular shoes*. I was thinking of buying skates online--just cheapo starter ones, since I'll never do derby and just want something non-skanky to wear to the rink--but was nervous about the whole sizing thing. Any other skatastic advice welcome, thanks.
*Well, technically, I'm size 5 1/2 Wide in women's shoes, but since that size does not actually exist, I can usually make do with a 6.
Never mind--I talked it through with some guy in Texas. He told me my feet were "in a gray area," but eventually we settled on a pair that should work.
