Everybody's got a story
After months of trying and having various things stymie my attempts, I finally got to see the Stoop Storytelling Series at the Creative Alliance last night. I highly recommend it--one story was pretty awfully told, but they're all over in 7 minutes so even when they're bad they're survivable, and the rest were all at least half-decent--if not markedly more than that. I really want to do it myself now, though none of the upcoming themes would be good for any of the stories I'd want to tell. Still, I think I'm going to contact them. It's very attractive to me as a medium--equal parts writery, lead-singery, and bullshit-artisty, all things I enjoy.
