So as part of my new hippie commie Portland identity, I switched to biofuel for my heat. They told me that after a few weeks, I should call someone to clean the filter on my furnace, as biofuel has an initial gunky stage as it runs through the works.

they had you wear it in order to get in to the ice bar (it's a walk-in freezer, essentially, with the bar and the walls and even the "glasses" carved from blocks of ice)... since they had to keep it below freezing and since you'd be handling blocks of ice (with a hole drilled into them for the booze!), they had you wear these parkas with mittens attached over your coat/clothes to keep warm since you'd be in there for ~30 minutes or so. admission includes one free drink!





neat souvenir: a glass designed to look like the blocks of ice you used as glasses!
