So many things to blog about, but tonight I choose this:

R&R had their going-away party tonight--they're spending a year in Mexico. They'd mentioned that they wanted to use up some of the random liquor left in their cabinet, such as the peach schnapps (everyone who's ever had a party ever winds up with a mystery bottle of peach schnapps, I think) and some blackberry liqueur. Also, a bottle of watermelon vodka. Hmmmm, I thought to myself, if only they knew someone with a professional expertise in drinks crafting.

This is what I brought:

1. My standard margarita mix (2 limes for every lemon, with one orange thrown in for every 4+ other citrus elements), as told to me by Holy Frijoles. Also, I ran out of normal simple syrup so I used half ginger syrup, which seemed to work out fine in the end.

2. Iced tea made with pomegranate white tea from TJ's, sweetened with homemade rosemary simple syrup (why yes, I *do* have three kinds of simple syrup in my fridge right now, why do you ask?), with a fresh diced fresh peach and a handful of frozen raspberries muddled in there with a few sprigs of fresh mint.

Hell yes, people. I learn fast, and I come correct. Suffice to say, no one wants me to bring food to the next potluck.
