“How could you do that to Dr. House? How could you go to Volger like that? I can’t believe that he didn’t fire you. You are a bad doctor he should have fired you. I don’t know why all the old doctors and nurses around here think you are so great. They must be insane.” Chase had heard again and again from both Cameron and Foreman during the last several weeks after Volger left the hospital taking his money with him. Chase was slowly going crazy but he didn’t want to tell Greg how bad it was getting or about anything else that was steadily growing.

After another round of how Chase is so evil and how he had betrayed Dr. House so bad, Chase left the lab. He walked slowly out of the lab trying to keep moving forward even as the hall was spinning all around him. Next thing he knew he was laying down and could hear voices all around him including Greg’s arguing.

Chase slowly opened his eyes to see Wilson standing there watching him and Greg as Greg yelled at everyone. Chase could hear Greg asking next to him what had happened harshly while Foreman just stood there and Cameron was sobbed. Chase laid there listening intently as no one besides Wilson even noticed that he was awake.

“For the last time and if someone doesn’t tell me now you both are fired. What were you yelling at him about that made him so upset?” House asked again seeming even angrier as he stood there holding Chase’s hand. Chase could tell by Cameron’s sobbing and Foreman’s guilty face that this had gone on for awhile all ready.

“Well we were asking him why he went to Volger. It’s just that you did fire him even after you knew he betrayed you and went to Volger.” Cameron answered still sobbing.

“You did WHAT?” Greg shouted. Chase at this point decided that this was enough and squeezed Greg’s hand softly to get his attention. Greg quickly looked down at him causing everyone else’s eyes to flick quickly towards him.

“I am okay. It wasn’t their fault that I fainted.” Chase told House trying to get him to calm down and not kill Cameron or Foreman. “But the stress didn’t help either, did it?” Greg asks before glaring at the other two ducklings in the room.

“For your information Chase went to Volger because I asked him to so that there was a spy on him. I asked him because anything that he said was protected communications as Chase cannot be forced to disclose anything that I say to him. Also I can’t fire him even if for some reason I wanted to because technically he doesn’t work under me.” Greg explained his voice still very harsh.

Cameron and Foreman looked at each other both confused about what House meant. Wilson starts laughing at them for a minute before saying. “They’re married.” Both Cameron and Foreman stood there in shock.

“You’re joking right?” Cameron asked Wilson in disbelief. Chase just rolled his eyes and looked at Cameron exasperated with her and her behavior with Greg all the time. “No, he isn’t kidding with you. Yes I am married to Greg and have been for a while now. We were married long before you came to work here.”

“Why did you faint anyway House would not tell us anything just that you needed to be off your feet for awhile and he gave you two injections of something?” Foreman asked butting into the middle of the conversation.

Chase exchanged a look with Greg trying to decide if they should tell them or not. “Well, I umm… I am four months pregnant and am having a bit of trouble with this pregnancy. That is why Greg was really having me look stuff up off the internet or in books so that I would stay off my feet.” Chase explained to them.

“You’re going to have a baby?” Cameron asked in astonishment. “You are actually going to let House parent a child! Better start saving the money for therapy now.” Foreman said.

“Yes, I am going to have a baby. I don’t see any reason why Greg shouldn’t be around his own children. The only problem I have with any of them so far is that our oldest, Gregory, tends to be quite rude to his teachers when he thinks they are idiots which his father encourages a little too much but except for that minor problem they are fairly well adjusted and intelligent children. None of them seem to need therapy so far.” Chase said not quite believing the comments that they were making.

“Oldest? As in more than one child?” Foreman asks. “Yes, we have five so far, six with this one. Our oldest son Gregory Marcus is almost 10 years old, our son James Edmund is six years old, our twin daughters Sydney Elizabeth and Emily Marie are three and a half years old and our youngest son Connor Michael is two.” Chase explained to Foreman as House rolled his eyes and glared at Foreman and Cameron for asking stupid questions and at Wilson for standing there being entertained.

“That is enough questions for now. Go do some work or something far away from here. I want to watch General Hospital and you all are making too much noise.” House told all of them.

Chase started to try and get up before Greg pushed him back down onto the bed gently. “Ha-ha, really funny Robby. You get to stay here and rest so that you don’t fall down dead from running around too much.” Greg told Chase.

As Foreman walked down the hall following Wilson and Cameron he thought of one more question that he wanted to ask. He turned around and walked back to the room. As he neared the door and looked in he saw something that made him think that this wasn’t all one big joke. House had gotten up onto the bed and snuggling with Chase with Chase using House’s chest for a pillow. Foreman watched as Chase raised his head and kissed House before lying back down again after saying I love you. Two things struck Foreman at that moment House said I love you back and he was just watching Chase and didn’t even have the TV on. House was missing General Hospital. Wow House really was in love with him.
