What a Weekend!

I'm in the library, I just feel incapable of facing lunch today. Feel terribly ill. Probably caught this horrid flu that has infiltrated the entire school...or so it seems in any case.

Weekend was horrible:

Some are still harping on about loosing to Gryffindor at Quidditch, as if that was the only concern in life (and all his fault.) Some are avoiding me like I single-handedly developed the Black Plague (and probably developing more conspiracy theories left, right and centre). And I spent the entire two days rugged up in bed, trying to throw this cold. Sleep and lots of liquid: natures best medicine, or so my Grandmother always says.

On the upside, I managed to clear out a lot of homework for Potions, DADA and Transfiguration, all of which I had this morning, although DADA was cancelled due to Professor Black's accident. Charms next, with the Slytherins (and not as unimaginably bad as it may at first seem), and then Herbology with the Gryffindors, which should be an absolute riot considering the hostility. I might have to position myself near Hermione just in case any fights break out. After all, we can't have any more tomato ears, can we? Astronomy tonight though, and I can hardly wait - we're studying Sirius Major at the moment, and if the weather stays like it is at the moment, it will be a brilliant night for stargazing.

The Animagus Practicum is going extremely well in other news. I think some members of the class were disappointed with it, and didn't return. It's a lot of hard work for nothing but theoretical knowledge, but I am enjoying it just the same. Animagus Theory is something very much ignored in our other classes, especially History of Magic for some unaccountable reason. Thursday night proved to be highly interesting, with a review of Charms and Care of Magical Creatures, as well as a lecture on the History of Animagi from Professor Black. History is certainly not my strong point, but it was fascinating, despite evidence provided by the chorus of snoring classmates behind me.

Anyway, lunch in nearing an end, and I'm going to acquire some Pepper-Up Potion from Madam Pomfrey before Charms starts and try to get through the rest of the day. Without dying.

Or being killed by my housemates.

Both of which are, at the moment, distinct possibilities.
