had a crummy day at work. i lost a document i had been working on for several hours and no amount of clapping would bring it back when i restarted my computer. the most galling thing was that i had continuously saved it and none of the temporary files would divulge the missing draft. thanks domino document manager. the only thing you've managed to do lately is make my manager and i throw our turbans on the deck crying "we are all lost!".
in other news, i'm liking most of what i've heard so far of
the avalanche. i'm most enjoying "the mistress witch from mcclure (or the mind that knows itself)". (who knew a song about adultery could be so upbeat?) sufjan stevens has such a way with words -- the imagery he conjures up is so rich!
and, since it's getting much too late, i'll leave you with this musing from three days ago:
cats are the best animals to snuggle with... even moreso than dogs because there is a sense of danger and risk. if a cat doesn't take a swipe at you during a snuggle, there's a pretty good chance she likes you... or, like tasma, is bipolar.
i'm sure the shading is all wrong, perspective is skewed, etc. one of these days i'll figure it out.
