brief thoughts on the city
so, i'm here downtown four floors up taking an access course. there's something about the city that energizes me. eating lunch and watching all the busy people below is highly entertaining. when the sun is shining, the city seems less foreboding. the last two times i was here it was cold, dark and there was an enveloping fog. now it's crisp, blue, scintillating, clean and... is that an actual hint of warmth?
i don't think i could ever live in such a central place (i'm sure i would doom myself to staring out the window at the passers by below), but it's nice to get out of the daily routine, out of the business park, and pretend to be part of the well-dressed mob over here.
maybe tomorrow i'll do some more exploring.
