"14 cannibal kings, wondering blithely what the dinner bell will bring"
guess who got herself a job? me! yes, the "drug dealers" hired me and i have only a few weeks of sweet, sweet vacation time before i go to work. i also found out today that another one of my friends, j----, got hired on at a public library. it's nice to be part of the 93%. we'll go out celebrating sometime soon.
yesterday, cliomuse, j---- and my sister went on a thrift store adventure. i spent $25 on sundry girly and professional articles of clothing. still didn't find a cute summer dress, though (i guess that means i'll have to go to the mall or something...)
and since i haven't written in this journal for a while, i shall update on two important events:
-- j-- came over the other night and brought with him the decemberists' latest cd, picaresque. this won me over further and he now has my whole-hearted approval. he can marry my sister.
-- the decemberists concert has been rescheduled for april 30th. squee!
anyways, tasma makes it difficult for me to type since she is curled up on my lap and has her leg draped across my wrist. i must be off and finish up some homework (it's surprising how it lingers on even after classes are finished :P)
post script: mine and cliomuse's fact sheet for pacific rim magazine was selected to be published. if any of you get your hands on a copy, we're the ones that did thailand.
