I HATE MARKETING!!!
yes, i know HATE is a strong word, but i feel it very appropriate for a course that i so violently dislike. (we just had a quiz today on pricing and the formulas went straight over my head even though i reviewed them on several occassions. hence the reason i'm becoming a libtech -- NOT a mathematician [sorry dad], NOT a physicist, and definitely NOT A BLEEDIN' MARKETER!!!)
**addendum: just found out i got 80% on the marketing midterm (which is worth 25% of our overall grade). almost 20% higher than the class average. not too shabby. at least i know i won't fail the bloody course.
***'nuther addendum: found out i got 3/4 questions right on the quiz (which makes it 15/20). anyways, i totally don't deserve that grade. i guessed on all of them and maybe gave an educated guess on two.
and a question for all you mathematically inclined people (or those of you with a calculator nearby):
is this statement true?
$312,000 - ((6,000 x $5) + $30,000) = $126,000
