why is 'family' not a category? anyhoodles, am having way too much fun on ancestry.com started out by searching for eric's family (oh quiet, all of you, it's not that creepy- you've all googled boyfriends, etc.)...got bored, because i'm self-centered, and started making my own. *squee!* am such a capricorn. is a wonderful excuse to spend some time with my great-grandmother lillie's bible. i love the way she spelled her name. even funnier that i chose lilly to be my hobbit name, now :P amusing that eric's mom spells her name 'lillie' too. forgot about that.
i do love old books. especially old bibles. such beautiful penmanship...and you can tell that the familly register was filled in with a fountain pen. i love the way the ink gathers on the paper. and it smells wonderful *sniffs and smiles*
hmm i have a great-uncle who got a birth certificate using this bible...wonder if i could dig up enough ancestral proof to get on the cherokee registry. i've always wanted to be on it...not for the money, though that would be nice...meh, i'd prolly just be like mamaw and tear up the checks. i don't need government blood money. pfff.
