Going out with...a lot of caffiene
One more day to go....Almost exactly 36 hours until polls close in NC
Tomorrow is going to be....interesting.
Nine months of volunteering and we still haven't learned to tell our dear, sweet, wonderful, lovely field organizer when we'll be there instead of asking when we should be.
Consequently, we somehow agreed to be at the office at 6:30 in the bloody morning.
I can make it to places at that ungodly hour. I CANNOT make it to places at that ungodly hour with my perky volunteer smile in place.
There BETTER be a large pot of coffee reserved for me.
I can't bitch too much...Gratitude for our continued suckerdom has earned us gas cards, meaning I can make it to my appointment AND spend the rest of the day volunteering.
I'm still not sure whether to do last minute voter canvassing or work the office.
I figure it will go as it usually does...Whatever needs to be done that no one is doing, I'll do...
...for well over 12 hours. *L*
Oh well, the bitching is mostly obligatory. Really, I'm taking the "enjoy it while it lasts" mentality.
So, I'll work my bum off one more day until polls close here (7:30). By then, there should be some early results in from VA--Polls there close at 7:00.
Then, that coffee order of mine had better be replaced with an equivalent beer order. I need it already. By then, I'll really need it.
Wow, I just saw an article with the headline "Polygamous Group's Voter Guide" on MSNBC and totally did NOT think Mormons. All I could think was, "Well, I bet THEIR post-election celebrations will be lively!"
Yep, ready or not, it's TIME for this to be over.
