I'm going to commit a faux pas and post a quiz without a cut:
He hath eaten me out of house and Hannah.
Which work of Shakespeare was the original quote from? Can you blame me?
Out, damned Hannah! Out, I say!
Which work of Shakespeare was the original quote from? For those of you fretting because you haven't heard from me, I'm alive.
I've been feeling a bit under the metaphorical weather.
Not only that, the literal weather has been chilly enough to make typing unpleasant except around midday. I endlessly curse the gods that the only place the computer fits is on a north wall of the house in front of a window.
I've taken to bribing the cats with continuous petting to get them to sit on me.
One thing that must be noted. "Sigmund the Retarded Nipple Piercing" is no more. I got tired of it being a constant source of irritation the moment cold weather set in. My life is not conducive to vanity.
Thus, I am lopsided, but more comfortable.
**Edit: For the curious, Sigmund is named after
Sigmund the Retarded Monkey. It's a long story involving a lot of alcohol.**
Otherwise, I haven't really felt like updating on my actual "goings-on"...It's rather dreary and unimpressive. Hopefully something un-dreary and vaguely impressive will happen soon.
For the moment, I've been reading the Song of Solomon this evening...I came across a reference to it and realized I'd never read it.
"I am the rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valleys.
As the lily among thorns, so is my love among the daughters.
As the apple tree among the trees of the wood,so is my beloved among the sons.
I sat down under his shadow with great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste.
He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love.
Stay me with flagons, comfort me with apples: for I am sick of love...."
Sometimes the Bible is kind of hot.
