Angels do exist
Hi guys~ hope you all have been well... um... so this is just a random post about how nice it is to learn that good people really do exist in this world...
So I just graduated with my BS a few weeks ago and I had to move out of my nice private apartment and into my family home again.
I should be going to S. Korea soon for a job though so it's not too much of a problem.
Well I needed to get my passport all sorted out and my parents told me they would help me.
Of course I come home and find with in two days that my phone is shut off(because my parents couldn't pay the bill)
and both of them are out of work. So this was quite a blow.
But my mom had already put money aside to pay for my passport.
We went and did that today but before I left my elderly neighbor let me use her computer to print a few documents.
After that I left and ran around like mad to get the passport turned in.
Everyone was really nice and it was a fairly painless process.
Well we got home after it was all said and done and my dad looked at me all serious and told me "Fran wants to talk to you, she sounded angry"
So i couldn't figure out why she might be angry but I went over anyway.
I knew she wasn't angry at all when she invited me inside and told me she needed to talk to me.
I walked in and she sat down at her table and looked at me.
We were both silent for a few minutes before she pulled out her checkbook and wrote me a check telling me
"I am paying for your passport dear. I love you and good luck on everything"
This woman who has been our neighbor since we moved into our house 9 years ago, who we helped when her husband was still alive and after he passed, who is the nicest person you have ever met is my angel today. She knows that my family is struggling and without any sort of prompting she decided to help me. Thank god for people. <3
