I FINISHED ARCHER'S GOON AND I NEED TO YELL ABOUT IT.

Ok, first of all:

I LOVE the Goon. I loved the emotion in the scene where he was talking to Venturus in his mansion. His patience and understanding. And Venturus's memories slowly coming back. I just. Love it.

And second:

HOW COULD THEY SHOOT FIFI INTO SPACE!? The girl that had been living with in their attic and helping them for half the book! She was practically a main character, and then It's like DWJ got sick of her half way through the story and decided to get rid of her. Just like that! They just shot her into space with a bunch of crazy wizards without any remorse! The parents didn't even care! I. Just. sdfkjslf

Well, anyway.
I really did like the book and it's characters, even though the last few chapters was filled with me going 'Wait, what, really? We're just to shoot our problems into space? Just like that? Are they really gonna..Ohgod they're really going to do it.'

And stories with time travel as one of the twist's in the plot generally make me upset, as I feel that they are one of the cheapest plot devices out there, along with secret magical cults and evil twins. But I think DWJ manages to pull them off somewhat since they only manage to make me mildly ornery.

And did I already say I love the Goon? I love the Goon. ~*swoon*~
