happy birthday to me!
january 20th was my 20th birthday......all in all it was a wonderful weekend. birthday's are usually fun, but this is the most fun i've had for a birthday in a long time.
at work on friday, i asked my boss if i could leave early because it was my birthday (on friday's i'm originally suppose to work 10-4, and i asked if i could leave around 2, but by 3 for sure)...i told him it was my birthday and he said i could leave whenever i wanted, but first he treated justin, jake (my co-workers), and me to lunch. we also picked up my boss's son, richard, from middle school, cuz i guess they had a half day. i got to choose where to go and i picked mcalisters. i left work at 2.
ryan came up from western around 5:15 (i will go on record to say that he was late....but i'm only saying that cuz he thinks he wasn't late...lol)....and around 5:30 everyone else started to gather in my dorm. our party consisted of ryan, shoshana, angela, michal, liz, julie c., justin, and me! we went to pizza house for dinner. michal, julie, ryan and i split a very yummy chicago stuffed pizza (i got to pick the toppings...though it was hard work trying to get us all to agree...lol). i was surprised with a delicious, giant chocolate chip cookie-cake with yummy frosting...and people sang happy birthday....it was a very yummy dessert.
we were going to go bowling afterwards, but there was a long wait for open lanes so we ended up going to zap-zone for some laser tag. aaron (shoshana's boyfriend) joined us there, and it was super super fun. it was the first time i ever played laser tag, and i loved it. we scattered our separate ways after two rounds of that....but i'm happy to hear that everyone seemed to have had a good time. it was a nice group.
on saturday, ryan and i were going to do some homework in the library, but we were very lazy and we spent the better part of the morning and afternoon on the lounger just chatting about stuff. then we did finally make it to the library for a few hours, and after dinner, we joined angela in watching The 40 Year Old Virgin.....funny movie!
Ryan left today (sunday morning) after breakfast, and i'm prolly going to attempt at being productive today...i know i have to at least get my economics out of the way cuz it's due tomorrow at 11pm and i wanna play poker with michal and his buddies at 8ish....so i gotta get that done.
i also got accepted to the Panama study abroad program, and now i dunno what to do, cuz i want to go, but i don't know if i should...it's a lot of $...i've got a little under two weeks to decided...
all in all, it was a wonderful weekend, but i really have my roomie shoshana to thank for it....cuz she kinda got things into motion and took care of lots of things. i'm glad she did it.....thanks shosh!
quizzies....
Verdict: Post-Modern Heroine. You don't really
buy into the stereotypes of hero and villain,
and you don't take much pleasure in doing
battle. Still, you do what you have to do.

Though I don't encourage gambling, this is a fun game that could be
right up your alley. You might even be able to round up enough friends
to have an exciting game. Blackjack isn't for everyone, though, and if
you're one of these people, try something else, like Bingo.

Well done. The chances of you guessing this much correctly are quite
slim, so you must have an idea what you're doing. You're good enough to
do better, perhaps a few ill-advised guesses cost you a category. That
or you just got plain lucky, and might find your time better spent in a
casino. The most important thing is you obviously didn't cheat, like
most people. (Or maybe I'm just being cynical, does this kind of
website attract people who listen to their upstair brains, not the ones
downstairs?)
