Upon deciding to check out the 60's rock group I am a member of here, I encountered a link to
http://antispamnow.livejournal.com/ where a "theory" of the murder of Jim Morrison was offered. I quickly realized I needed to reply, and posted this there

i once heard a story about myself, which was that i was a street hooker heroin addict at 17. no idea where it came from, but it followed me for years... like a bad smell.
it would have been funny if it were not so nasty.
i think when people are unusual, other people's imaginations elevate them to the status of freak.... and they will refuse to accept that actually, they are a decent human being.
as an aside.... what an exciting and interesting time it must have been for you to promote and nuture these artists! :-)

My preferred format is of course vinyl, but I am going travelling in 2 months, so it's now feasible for me to keep buying LP's because I am trying to load up the ol' iPod with stuff before I go. Today I bought another Os Mutantes CD and an album by Comets on Fire. All my music is packed away into boxes, it's heartbreaking. xD
Anyway Hank, hope you're very well.. And Teresa, and everyone else. :)
(I don't remember a lot of that particular Oliver Stone movie.. I did see it years ago, but as a director Salvador and JFK was the bomb!)

Where will you be travelling to and has it anything to do with your own creative music?

I travel to Santiago in Chile in October for a while, then on to see some more of the country.. Buenos Aires in January.. I want to visit Peru, too.. But after the earthquake this week, it's going to be a while away, I think. I don't know what I am going to get from the experience. I am meeting up with several friends along the way.. I will draw something creative from it.
I have from 15th Sept. until my flight in October off work, and I am planning to finish some things in that time.

I haven't logged onto MySpace in ages.. But I have a couple of tracks on there, which I may or may not redo before I go. :)

It is tragic that Jim died. :(.
But look at both at the gifts and legacy that he left behind. And to me that speaks more about who he was than theories about his death ever will.
That's just my take on it, though.
Hope that you and yours are doing all right, that things are going okay, and that the rest of the day goes all right for you all.
Hugs. *HG*
God bless and take care. :).
