Great Japanese Drumming Event @ UCR Sunday May 28

Odd, last week it was in the 80s up here at 6300 feet high in the Tehachapi Mountains. Then, as promised, it dipped into the 30s last night and I awoke to frosted pine trees this morning. Pictures I shot about mid-day will most likely be posted tomorrow by Teresa at her velvetcyberpunk LJ, as I promised her she could.

Yo! Jessica just called me from practice and was very happy to hear you might make it. With 6 other visiting Taiko ladies staying in her apartment since Friday, and the intercollegiate activities that began then before tonight's public concert, she had been too busy to even go online. If possible, try to say "Hi".

damn!!! i'm sorry to say... i can't go. i have some rare time with the drummer of my band and we're going to try and record something decent. let me know the next time they'll be preforming!

Aww, bummer... BUT, maybe you two might hear some interesting world rhythms there that you'd like to incorporate.
Either way, I'd love to hear whatever you guys do record. Rock on.
