minnehaha K. handed me the letter "T", so here is my list of ten words that mean something to me:
Toronto: The place where I have lived and worked for over thirty years. Although these days I actually spend more time in Niagara Falls.
Travel: The reason that I work. My favourite thing to do. I just wish I could do more of it and for longer stretches at a time. The main thing that I miss about my previous consulting work is the extensive travel that it involved - where I could go to lots of neat places for weeks or months at a time. Sigh.
Tulips: The first flowers in my garden in Niagara Falls every year. There is a large bed of them in front of the living room window - half solid red and half yellow with red streaks. I just came from a long drive along the Niagara Parkway and there are large plots of bright yellow tulips scattered along the entire route.
Tea: The hot beverage that I drink the most. Much as I love coffee, tea is really my favourite. I especially like mint tea in the evenings.
Tools: I love tools and gadgets. I wish I had a garage so that I could have power tools. The router is the best tool ever.
Tiramisu: My favourite dessert ever. There's just something about mascarpone cheese and cocoa that drive me to orgasmic levels.
Tired: The condition that I seem to be in most of the time lately. Of course, the 190 hours of overtime I've done lately may have something to do with it.
Television: My primary source of recreation. I've been working at home a lot lately, so it makes it much easier to have the TV going in the background as a bit of a distraction. When I'm not working I love to cross-stitch as much as possible and multitasking by watching TV is just ideal.
Tibet: A place I have always been fascinated by. I've always wanted to travel there. Recently I bought a few pieces of Tibetan-style furniture for the living room and I'm totally in love with it.
Toyota: I am so in love with my newly purchased Toyota Prius. As gas prices climb higher and higher, I am smilimg smugly.
