Canadian director Robert LePage was in Edinburgh during the Festival presenting his new film, but also recruiting for the Cirque. I saw an amazing street-act involving a 20-foot-high scaffold, a trapeze, two lengths of fabric, and a girl who hung from above apparatus by her ankles, her wrist, etc. without a net.

Wonder if she's auditioning.

One of the more impressive acts at Alegria was a guy who did an aerial routine using a long looped piece of fabric. It was not only very technically impressive but also quite beautiful with the red silky fabric billowing about as he flew.
