Purge Fallout plus Theatre!

Somehow during all the purging activity on Saturday, I somehow managed to hurt my left knee. I don't remember doing anything but when I went to bed Saturday night, the pain woke me up a few times. I took some pain medication so that I could sleep. But on Sunday morning, I could barely walk. Luckily I had a cane in the closet that I could use and I really did need it.

We had plans to go to the Shaw Festival to see "Misalliance" and I was a bit worried since the Royal George Theatre has a lot of stairs and no elevators.

We had a nice dinner at the Little Red Rooster in Niagara-on-the-Lake and then went to the show. I managed to snag a parking spot just feet from the door and we both hobbled our way in. I had the cane in one hand and my mom hanging on to me on the other side. A sorry sight indeed.

But the show was terrific and lots of fun! I haven't laughed out loud like that in a long time. Thank goodness we had excellent seats where there was a little more leg room than usual, otherwise I would have died with the knee.

I took more pain pills before bed and propped up the leg on some pillows and was able to sleep okay. On Monday morning, the knee was much better even though I still hobbled a bit. Should be okay for work tomorrow.
