Dec. 4: I have the most awesome brother. I got home last night to find that he had put up all the Xmas lights on the house. It was a delightful surprise after a long and exhausting week.
Dec. 6: We are getting our first major snow storm. I will be revving up the snow blower soon. Of course I'm in NF and my boots are in TO. At least I have actual shoes. Sigh.
And of course, the damn snow blower wouldn't start! As I've said many times, thank god for my fabulous brother who came and saved us.
Dec. 11: I was supposed to be in San Francisco this weekend. Instead I'm in cold and snowy Canada. I'm not happy.
Too much work + too many family obligations + total exhaustion = cancelled trip.
Dec. 13: Well it took numerous attempts over the last 10 days and involved getting up at the crack of dawn to be 3rd in line (rather than 25th) but I finally got my snow tires put on today. At least it was free.
Dec. 14: I need either lots of alcohol or some serious Valium. Work is making me CRAZY!!!
Dec. 17: Sadly our lovely blue spruce is no more.
Dec. 20: Every Christmas you always hear people saying what they want and bought. Well this is what i want, I want people who are sick with no cure to be cured. I want children with no families, to be adopted, I want people to never have to worry about food & shelter & heat. I want no one to be alone or lonely. Now, lets see how many people re-post this who actually care...
Dec. 24: We had my brother's family over for a lovely Christmas Eve dinner. Steve brought wine and flowers and Stacy brought homemade cookies. Yummy!! The kids really loved their presents - the look on Rylee's face was priceless and Zac was pretty happy with his loot.
Merry Christmas to all my FB friends!!!
Dec. 25: Another lovely family Christmas in Oakville is winding down. My aunt always puts on an astounding dinner with lots of fabulous Polish food. We took a 2 hour break and then ate massive quantities of dessert. I really need a nap.
Dec. 26: I enjoyed the Doctor Who Christmas special but I still really miss David Tennant.
Dec. 29: This is an awesome idea. I just sent 5 Tim cards to Kandahar.
Share A Cup Dec. 31: It is currently 10C/50F outside. The snow is melting away very nicely.
I just made a big batch of Gobi Aloo. The house smells fantastic.
