Wow, been a bit busy lately. Got my tattoo's a few weeks ago? I can't remember. My memory is deteriorating, it is quiet sad.
We got into the Hamilton County battle of the bands at the last minute, haha HSE didn't want to choose us to represent them, so we got picked up by Westfield. Unfortunetly I could already tell the show was being ran very shottly. Some lady was supposed to call all of the bands like a day before the show (really stupid, thats not enough time) and second of all the form we filled out didn't even have a place for our number so I don't know how she was supposed to call us. So we get there and no one knows when the hell anyone is going on, but everyone does know that there isn't enough time for 12 bands, set up and tear down, and a final ruling on who was the winner. So the show was cramped.
We went on 4th I think (once again memory loss) Overall I don't think we messed up to much, my mic kept fucking up beyond belief. Actually its was probably the chord. My vocals sounded like shit, and they kept cutting in and out, also for some reason I think they kept turning the mic off when I wasn't using it, and then trying to turn it back on when I'd start to sing. Either way my vocals sucked, but the music was good.
So then Don't Fall Twice, and No Call To Arms both played their shit, and man I was majorly impressed with DFT they played their best show that I have ever seen. I think they definitely should have taken the battle. No call to arms had it's first show at the battle, and it was definitely a good first show. unfortunetly they only played 2 songs.
So in the end the rankings were
1st- Trauma Project
2nd- Don't Fall Twice
3rd- No Call To Arms
Yeah it sucked to not place, but we kind of knew we wouldn't before we even got there. HSE had told us the judges were looking for a more easy going band. And that a hardcore would be likely not to go over well. Either way it was a fun show, we got exposed to alot of people, and we sold out all of our merch for the night So it was a major success.
The next night we had a show at The House Cafe, crowd wasn't to great, but still 100 or so...
I think I was the only one that had fun last night...
Everyone else was pretty much pissed off. I was really goin nuts last night, I love playing at the house, It must be the stage or something...
this week I've visited Scott's grave alot
