[A light snort.]

He knew what he was getting himself into.

I highly doubt that. We expected for it to be an honest fight.

*No, this shouldn't make any sense.*

And it was just that.

...

Unless you're seriously going to blame me for permanently droning him.

Do you think I trust you enough to give you the benefit of the doubt?

[...] So you do think I droned him. I won't try to make you change your mind, because it would be a waste of my breath. But, he knew this was going to be a fight to the death. A reckless hero like him never fears such things.

*Alice has a flashback to the dream she had of Lancer's death. This makes her hesitate a bit.*

I am aware of all of this. As a Master I took the time to get to know my Servant. It is important to understand a tool before you use it.

*Of course she valued Lancer as more than a tool but Archer sucks so he doesn't need to know that.*

Then you should understand that even if he knew something like this would happen, he would still fight me all the same and so would I. Lancer had died as a human before you were even born. Servants don't fear death because we have already experienced it. He's that type who would prefer to die in battle than any other way.

I understand all of this as well.

*It's Alice that's afraid of death, not Lancer. But she won't say that out loud.*

But the fact that you plotted against Lancer to have him droned permanently means I have no reason to trust either you or Ciel. Also, without Lancer by my side, an Alliance is an inconvenience for me. Shouldn't it be the same for the two of you as well? I have no servant to offer you.

*The reality is that Lancer made Alice realize she should just be BAMF and take on Gil again on her own. She doesn't trust Archer anymore at all though so she's leaving this out.*

[A short laugh.]

You really think I plotted to drone him? I'm more surprised I wasn't droned with him, considering I did more damage with my final attack than he did. I have no reason to plot that - Lancer is nothing to me, but another Servant who wished for a rematch. That was all. [Now if it was Gilgamesh on the other hand, then Archer would definitely find a way to drone him. But Lancer? Not a chance.] As for that alliance, I wouldn't be shocked if Ciel attempted to mother you about it.

Do not take it so personally, Archer. You have no reason to trust me and I have no reason to trust you. Wasn't that always our relationship to begin with?

She can be annoying like that. I suggest you keep your Master far away from my home unless you want harm to come to her.

When you make an accusation like that, I have to take it personally. [Plotting to drone someone intentionally? ...Well he wouldn't be above it, but he wouldn't do it unless it was someone he absolutely despised in every way. Archer may not have pride, but if there's any reason Alice doesn't want to trust him it at least shouldn't be for this.]

You couldn't harm Ciel even if you tried, Alice, and she wouldn't want to harm you either.

It seems I misjudged your character. Can you prove without a shadow of a doubt that you did not intentionally drone Lancer?

*Not that she expects Archer to be able to do so but she's also a bit curious as to if he could actually do so.*

Thank you for telling me that Ciel would hesitate during a combat situation. I will be happy to use this to my advantage.

That would require you to trust me, which you clearly do not, so no I cannot. The only thing I can say is that I have no reason to do so.

She won't hesitate. She just won't harm someone who isn't a threat to her, such as yourself.

Fine, you have proved your point. I do not suspect it any less, however.

I do hope that Ciel underestimates me the way you are.
